I kinda hate color now! It used to be fun. Itten, Munsell and Albers have crashed the party. It's kind of like McNuggets; I neither care, nor want to know what's in them, because they're just so delicious. I guess knowing too much about color won't completely ruin it for me, but I don't want to have to take it so seriously. However, getting a chance to check out the Albers prints at the library was a nice way to end an otherwise bewildering week in the world of color. While the philosophy of color as dictated by Albers & Co. is totally beyond me, seeing those prints reminded me that even "serious" color is beautiful.
