To illustrate concepts using only circles seemed super easy at first, but ultimately I just don't think circles are all that expressive! So it turned out to be hard. And boring. I cranked out quite a few. Some of them took me forever to come up with-but with others, I think my brain just clicked off and let them come tumbling out, falling into position like a bunch of little marbles. Or gum balls. I'm not sure which technique worked better for me, probably because I can't remember how I came up with any specific one, because they all look virtually the same. Little bubble, big bubble, little bubble, big bubble.
